Promotions Engine
TableCore includes a powerful promotions engine that automatically applies discounts to qualifying orders.
Promotion Types
Buy X Get Y Free
Create "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" offers or similar deals. Navigate to Admin > Promotions and select "Add Promotion". Choose the "Buy X Get Y" type, select your target product (e.g., "House Beer"), set the buy quantity to 2, and the free quantity to 1. The system will automatically apply the discount when customers order 3 or more qualifying items.
Percentage Discounts
Offer percentage-based discounts on specific categories or items. For example, create a "20% off all Starters" promotion by selecting the "Percentage Discount" type, choosing 20% as the value, and selecting the "Starters" category. This discount will apply automatically to all qualifying items in the cart.
Fixed Amount Discounts
Provide fixed euro discounts like "€5 off orders over €50". Set the minimum order value and the discount amount, and the system will apply it when the threshold is met.
Bundle Deals (Any X for Y)
Create flexible bundle promotions like "Any 4 Tapas for €15" or "Any 3 Cocktails for €20". Select the "Bundle Deal" type, choose the qualifying category or items, set the bundle quantity (e.g., 4), and the bundle price (e.g., €15). The system will automatically group qualifying items and apply the bundle price when the quantity is met. If customers order 8 tapas, they'll get 2 bundles at €15 each.
Time-Based Promotions
Create happy hour deals that only apply during specific times. Set your promotion's active hours (e.g., 5 PM - 7 PM Monday-Friday) and the discount will automatically activate and deactivate based on the current time.
Promotion Priority
If multiple promotions apply to the same item, the system uses the promotion with the highest discount value to ensure customers always get the best deal.
Viewing Applied Promotions
On the POS Order Review screen, all applied promotions are clearly displayed with their discount amounts before the final total. Staff can see exactly which promotions were triggered and how much the customer is saving.
